The Gang Around Marble Falls

Now how did they get the name Marble Falls?  This entire area is a Marble and Granite Quarry.  The falls used to be next to the town, but now it is under Lake LBJ.  All the marble used in the Texas State Capital building came from this area, as did a lot of the marble and granite that is seen through out the state of Texas.
